Lonnie brings 30 years of automotive experience to Open Road starting in sales during summer breaks in college migrating to F&I and executive management for the Hall Automotive Group, subsequently sold to Mile One Automotive, now 80 dealerships and 27 brands. Lonnie subsequently joined World Omni Financial Corp, established in 1981 as the first import automotive captive finance company in the United States. At Omni, he led the dealership takeover team for the commercial credit department where he took over and managed dealerships that had fallen out of financial trust. Immediately before joining Open Road, Lonnie spent nine years as Director of Operations for Holand Leasing USA, a subsidiary of Omega Leasing Canada Ltd, one of the largest and most respected automotive leasing companies in Canada.
He spearheaded the Company’s first US operation, developing standard operating procedures, overseeing the construction of their US-based proprietary software system, and leading the operation to 80 million in sales. Lonnie has a Bachelor of Science in Business/Finance from Nova Southern University.
