Team Patrick Caplin

Patrick joined Open Road Capital as a part-time consultant in October 2023. Previously, he worked for 15 years for the National Automobile Dealers Association as Director of Grassroots Advocacy and Director of Legislative Affairs where he was a lobbyist and responsible for meeting with federal lawmakers, regulatory officials, and other policymakers on behalf of all NADA along with the American Truck Dealers (“ATD”) members. Prior to ATD, Patrick worked for Honda North America as a federal lobbyist for 8 years working on automotive, motorcycle and off-road public policy issues. Patrick started his career working on Capitol Hill for two Members of Congress from Pennsylvania handling transportation and national security issues.

Patrick holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and two teenage children.
