Team Markus Haig

Markus started with Open Road Capital in August 2026.

Previously, Markus served as Vice President at Haig Partners, a leading M&A advisory firm specializing in automotive retail. There, he advised owners of high-value dealerships through all phases of the buy-sell process, from valuation and market positioning to negotiations and closing. Markus was involved in the purchase or sale of approximately 40 dealerships with a combined transaction value exceeding $1 billion, excluding inventories. He was also a key contributor to the Haig Report®, the longest-running quarterly report in automotive retail.

Prior to Haig Partners, Markus was an Analyst in the Retail & Consumer Group at Credit Suisse, a leading global investment bank and financial services company. He began his career in the automotive industry as a summer intern with Holman Automotive, one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Markus holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
