Team Dennis Thornhill

Dennis recently retired from Toyota Motor North America after 40 years of service, capping his career as Vice President Retail Market Development (“RMD”) since 2016. RMD provides information, guidance and insight to Toyota and Lexus field offices, Private Distributors GST and SET, Toyota Motor North America / Toyota Financial Services, and large Dealer Groups directly related to dealer franchise agreement administration, business management, market planning, dealership facilities, dealer diversity initiatives and the Toyota Dealer Investment Group. His leadership of RMD helped ensure that Toyota and Lexus dealer franchises consistently generated the highest return on invested capital and maintained their acclaimed position among the most successful and admired dealerships in the auto industry. His path within Toyota to national prominence included contributions to TMIS Insurance Division, Toyota's field organization in the San Francisco and New York Regions, Vehicle Distribution Operations, Sales/National Dealer Council and Lexus Auto Shows, Sponsorships, Events & Experiential Marketing.

Dennis is an inductee of Toyota RMD’s Hall of Fame and was awarded NAMAD’s Distinguished Service Award.

Dennis holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration/Finance from California State University Long Beach and studied abroad at Uppsala University, Stockholm, Sweden. Dennis and Nancy, his wife of 28 years, reside in Frisco, Texas and have two children Ryan, and Hannah, who share his passion for visiting stadiums around the country to cheer favorites TCU Football, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Los Angeles Lakers.
