David joined Open Road from Dixon Hughes Goodman (“DHG”) where he was a senior assurance manager in its dealerships practice. At DHG, David worked with large dealer groups focused on growth through acquisitions. David’s clients included some of the fastest growing dealership groups in the country, including numerous family office and private equity-owned clients. In addition to his core audit and assurance responsibilities, David specialized in dealership transaction advisory services, including financial due diligence and related consulting and managed diligence projects for transactions from single point acquisitions to groups with 15+ stores. Prior to DHG, David was the corporate controller for Kenworth Sales Company (“KWS”), one of the largest Kenworth dealership groups in the country. At KWS, he helped implement a new dealership management system (ERP system) and redesigned the Company’s accounting procedures and controls to improve the reliability and timeliness of the Company’s accounting close process. David started his career in public accounting with a local CPA firm and providing audit and assurance services for 6 years with a CBIZ, a top 10 national CPA firm at the time.

David has a master’s degree in accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, both from the University of Utah.
