Team Chris Gillette

Chris has more than twenty years of experience leading finance organizations through periods of growth, transformation, and strategic change. His background spans automotive retail, aviation, professional services, and publicly traded companies, where he has built and transformed finance organizations, led complex transactions, and partnered with executive leadership teams and boards to support long-term growth and value creation.

Prior to joining Open Road Capital, Chris served as Vice President, Corporate Controller and Head of Environmental, Health and Safety for Group 1 Automotive, where he led the company's global accounting organization. Before Group 1, Chris served as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Bristow Group, where he played a key leadership role in the company's Chapter 11 restructuring, emergence from bankruptcy, and subsequent merger with Era Group. He began his career with KPMG, providing audit and advisory services to public and private companies across a variety of industries.

Chris holds both a Master of Professional Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant. He resides in Magnolia, Texas with his wife and two daughters.
